It is important to have a plan for the proper maintenance and cleaning of your pool. This will include general weekly work that you will need to do while the pool is in use, as well as servicing the equipment and machinery involved in running the pool.
WEEKLY WORK
Proper weekly maintenance is key to improving the lifespan and cleanliness of your pool. Regularly performing small, simple tasks can reduce the amount you have to spend on repairs and other expensive maintenance bills when minor issues have escalated into something much more serious. It’s best to get into a routine with cleaning and maintaining your pool and perform the tasks on a specific day each week. Your weekly tasks should include:
- Checking the water level and topping up if necessary
- Cleaning the filter(s)
- Cleaning the skimmer baskets
- Vacuum cleaning the pool floor
- Brushing the pool wall
- Cleaning the area around the pool surround
